Our Story
The beautiful town of Jupiter was established in 1838 by William Lauderdale. Today it covers 21 square miles and has a population of over 62,000. Much of Jupiter borders the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). It has its very own inlet, giving easy access to the Atlantic Ocean’s deep blue waters and is known for its beaches, an array of water sports and is ideal for fishing and boating enthusiasts alike. The famed Jupiter Lighthouse right by the inlet was completed in 1860 and is the oldest structure in Palm Beach County.
Almost 20 years ago, Jupiter was designated as the premier site to establish a biotechnology research center. It first attracted the world-renowned Scripps Research Institute followed by the Max Planck Institute for Neuroscience. In 2022, the Florida campus of Scripps Research integrated with the University of Florida’s academic health center as UF Scripps Biomedical Research. In addition to the biotechnology boom, other well-known companies, including the international security systems group, G4S Secure solutions and the aerospace division of Pratt & Whitney, now call Jupiter home. The Roger Dean Stadium, the MLB’s spring baseball training facility for both the St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins, is also located in Jupiter.
Our town is surrounded by world-class golf courses and community parks, and has a five mile stretch of beautiful beaches with ample free parking. Jupiter’s Riverwalk is a 2.5 mile recreational corridor of pedestrian walkways, bicycle paths and an events plaza along the Intracoastal. Along the Riverwalk, visitors will enjoy browsing through retail shops, dining at local restaurants, an amphitheater and marina as along with a major hotel and conference center.
The northern boundary of the Riverwalk will end at the Jupiter Inlet area, and will provide scenic views of the famed Jupiter Lighthouse. The southern boundary of the project, Ocean Way, connects the Riverwalk with access to the beach. We are fortunate to be located along this gateway nestled within spacious grounds that provide for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
Wonderful culture can be enjoyed locally at the beautifully re-designed Maltz Theatre or take a trip to downtown Palm Beach and visit the Kravis Center for some of the best plays, concerts, and events on Florida’s east coast
Jupiter is also home to the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, a not-for-profit educationally-based care facility for injured animals. See native owls, panthers, alligators, and bears in this most intimate zoo. Great for birthday parties as well. Just a short drive south is the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach This Center is a non-profit sea turtle research, rehabilitation, education and conservation facility and is enjoyed by people of all ages.
In addition to our superior location, and all the activities and opportunities that Jupiter has to offer, Jupiter 1 is an established community, built in the mid 1980’s and includes a swimming pool, tennis and pickle ball courts. It is the ideal place to call home for both seasonal and year-round residents. Because of our desirable location, our town-homes are continually in high demand.
